Applications are invited for a lecturer position in mathematics beginning August 21, 2019. This position entails teaching a wide variety of introductory undergraduate mathematics and statistics courses, from quantitative reasoning for liberal arts majors up through statistics, precalculus, calculus, and linear algebra. The position is a full-time continuing appointment contingent on satisfactory performance and instructional need.

Applicants must have a master’s degree or Ph.D. in mathematics or a related field. Applicants must have prior University teaching experience. Experience with active learning approaches is highly desired. Applicants should be proficient with the use of technology in teaching mathematics.

The teaching load is 15 credit hours per semester, typically including either three or four classes. Consideration of applications will begin April 17, 2019 and will continue until the position is filled.
